Why Marijuana Should Be Legalized

No use for a description today…

  1. The truth is so far out of the government’s control now. Everyone knows the
ins and outs of cannabis (with well done research) and most people, whether
they choose to admit it or not, know if it’s for them and if they can be
responsible and live life how they choose without that substance ruining
their willpower do other things. Anyway, the basic truths are all around us
and anyone and everyone who has even the slightest attention of detail sees
it, whether they choose to acknowledge it or not. Cannabis will never ruin
your life, and neither will any other substance. The irresponsible user
    does that.

  3. So for me, the discerning criteria is whether there is objective harm done
to society at large. I think you could argue that it does with crack,
heroine, etc. But not weed, acid, and mind altering drugs. Weed is not
physically addictive; it’s mentally addictive, as opposed to many other
popular drugs. People smoke it because they like the feeling, not because
their body needs it, if that makes sense. For any drug to be legal, there
should be an objective consideration of it’s overall detriment

  4. I agree with this rant, but the problem is in the caveat that drug users
not harm other people. That particular addendum becomes nebulous when you
look beyond the most simplistic, direct connotation of what it means to
“harm others.” For example, while I agree that marijuana should be legal, I
don’t think crack should. Why? Because one could legitimately argue the
correlation between crack and the things people will do to obtain crack
(theft, mugging, etc); Weed? Not so much.

  9. Nearly agree with you, except the health detriments are not equal to
alcohol. As the commenter “fredythepig” has stated, there is no harm from
the smoke. Also, there have been 0 deaths attributed to marijuana use EVER.
So I would like to see a bit more research on your part, before putting
this video out here. Other than that, you’ve got a great grasp on human
rights and what we should be allowed to do.

  15. If it was legalised it would no longer be a gateway drug to other much
nastier harmfull stuff. Right now you buy your weed off a dealer, he more
than likely does not just sell weed, so he will likely offer you some
varied drugs, (I always say no, I only smoke bud), but he even offers a bit
for free, not many can say no to that (I only came for a bag of bud),
suddenly you’ve got a bag of coke too. Legal = Ruin dealers, sold in shops
(no interaction with other drugs e.g. coke, heroine, ect)

  19. Don’t really see the problem with drugs, as long as it has age restrictions
and such similiar to alcohol as well as restrictions that prevent you from
doing stuff like driving or other things harmful to others. On the other
hand, i countries with free health care and such, should the public be made
to pay for your CHOICES? I mean, if I choose to shoot myself in the foot,
surely other people shouldn’t have to pay for the medical fees?

  20. Yes, I can do that, as beauty can be defined through many perspectives. By
the same logic you used there, you cannot simply claim it as a social
construct. And you have misunderstood my definition. To me, beauty is a
stimuli which triggers a psychological predisposition.

  22. And alcohol isn’t legal because there are “some health benefits”. It’s
legal because Americans wanted to do something that made them feel good and
happy, and people like you were trying to take that away from them for
ignorant reasons. There is almost no difference between alcohol and weed,
they are both bad for you and they make you stupid if you abuse it, but
they make you feel good. If you don’t like it, don’t do it. I’m sorry your
parents pushed these nonsensical ideals upon you 🙁

  24. By her logic, then all drugs should be legalized. Not just marijuana.
Prescription medications should be put over the counter. If we have “the
right to put whatever we want into our bodies” then everything (according
to her logic) should be readily available to do just that. Heroin and
cocaine should be sold at our local drug stores available to all. I’m
noticing a trend here. This girl (who does have an impressive vocabulary
but so what) is inherently inconsistent in her views. Flawed logic.
