  1. To answer Curtis Jordans comment. Isopropyl is ethanol and is less toxic
    then grain alcohol.

  8. Listen I make oil legally for cancer patients your formula is off if you
soak the cannabis for long periods you will get a way better extraction. I
leave mine for 1 to 2 weeks or until I see a beach sand color appear in the
once green material. Your lingo is off as well I say education is key. Your
on the right track but need to learn more about the plant and it’s
relationship in our body. No disrespect meant just helping out

  9. Chef Derek – thanks for the video, good info. Do you know how I can import
raw industrial hemp. Not the marijuana variety, but the stuff paper and
cloth and rope is made from. I think I need about 10 pounds or more. Any
ideas? Can you export it to me? I live in Tennessee. I’m reading that the
industrial – low thc stuff is legal here. We just can’t grow it.

  10. Isopropyl is NOT ‘ethanol’!
Grain alcohol is MUCH LESS toxic than Isoproyl!
Isopropyl can seriously harm your health if it is not purged properly from
the oil, and unless you purge under vacuum, then not all residue will be
    evaporated off from the isopropyl.
This is not about passionate opinions, Isopropyl is NOT just alcohol and
    water!
I can’t believe you think Isopropyl is less toxic than grain alcohol!
There is a reason labs test extracts to check for residue of isopropyl, but
there is no concern if there is some residue from grain alcohol (everclear
    etc)
Also, it is the water content that picks up the chlorophyl, you got the
details the wrong way round, its the Everclear that will pick up the
chlorophyl, and Everclear is not a good solvent to use for extracting a
vaporising oil as its around 5% water, and its the water part that picks up
    the chlorophyl.
    Good luck

  13. Isn’t isopropyl toxic if consumed? Wouldn’t using ethanol based alcohol be
better? You say in the video that the iso is ethanol based, is that
possible? Sorry im new to this.

  14. I don’t know what kind of policy’s or laws you have in Canada regulating
the production of isopropyl alcohol or ethal alcohol but in the us all
rubbing alcohol is denatured meaning chemicals are added to render them
unfit for human consumption (such as acetone). All drinking alcohol is
ethanol, moonshine is first choice and everclear is second. I believe the
more control you have over the production of your own medication the better
off you are and that means all aspects of it, peace of mind is medicine in
    it own right.

Huff puff just some food for thought other than that I love what your doing
and look forward to many more videos from you, thank you.

  17. Pentane and hexane are very much like butane, but they have slightly higher
boiling points and don’t really need to be stored under so much pressure,
which makes them safer- although they still form potentially explosive
vapor clouds. They take a little longer to evaporate clean, but they will
in time just like butane. You can speed up the final step with a hairdryer.
They will give you oil that looks like cold honey: thick, syrupy,
    translucent and golden.
They will also extract at room temperature.

  19. Great video. Learned lots. I’ve heard that in lieu of Butane and Alcohol
you can use Glycerin which is vegable based and you can buy a food grade to
make it even safer. I like the idea of using the least toxic. Even though
its all in heard it makes me feel better. Will this receipe work with
glycerin, or would I have to find a different receipe?
